Audition Tips

  • Read the audition notice carefully. Be prepared with the appropriate song, clothing and shoes.

  • Give it a try - audition! Whether this is your first or fifteenth audition, we want to see you! Everyone has audition nerves, but practice your song and come prepared to do your best!

  • Do your homework. Learn about the show you are auditioning for and review the character list. Choose one or two characters that interest you and then choose a song that represents that character. (Think style, tone, etc.) Do not sing a song from the show you are auditioning for. You may choose something similar, but from a different show.

  • Come prepared. Be on time or even a little early. Wear the clothes and shoes specified and bring your electronic musical accompaniment (karaoke version). It is important to have the karaoke version of your song - please do not sing acappella.
